| | Reunion 2001 was Brain and Maggie Kelly's idea.
They wanted to have the family over to help celebrate Bev Kempkey's (Maggie's
Mother) 75th birthday. Brain worked on getting everyone's email address or
home address and sent out the invitations. From then on, the rest was planned and organized by several people,
including Brian and Maggie, without which this
reunion really wouldn't have happened. Because the last family reunion was
13 years ago, this reunion took extra special planning in order for it to come
off smoothly. Our Reunion 2001 Committee is listed below with a brief
description of their jobs. Each one has represented their side of the
family on decisions and implementation of ideas. Each one has been
enthusiastic and has had lots of ideas to share, most of which became a
reality. And each has stepped up to the plate to help make this reunion be
a huge success. Please stop by and thank them personally at the reunion,
for without them, there would be no reunion and there would be no website.
Again, a special THANK YOU to Brian and Maggie Kelly whose idea it was to have
the reunion and for hosting the reunion as part of Bev Kempkey's 75th
Birthday! And what a Birthday Party this will be. We have 100 people
coming and a possible 8 more as of September 7th, 2001. Thank you Brian
and Maggie!

Bob Beall -
Master of Ceremonies
Bob
organized the 'Rita' family photos and supplied those photos for the
website. Bob also added his ideas for an even better website, such
as the 'Reunion Activities', as well as others. Bob constantly
gave great feedback as soon as a page came out and even caught things
like links that one couldn't easily see. Bob gave tirelessly of
himself to write several vignettes and to compile not only his page, but
his children's as well. Without Bob, this website would not be
what it is today. Bob has also worked with Rick on the Master of
Ceremonies job. And, Bob has been a great PR person in spreading
his infectious enthusiasm about our family's website to the S.Cal
relatives. Without Bob, this reunion would not be where it is
today.
A very special thank you to Bob!

Monique
Madigan Bonjour - Treasurer and Photographer
Monique
organized the family photos (This is only a partial picture. We are
talking boxes and boxes, especially behind the door to her left) from
all the 8 kids, except Rita's, and supplied the photos for the
website. The Reunion Games would not have happened without the
pictures from Monique! Monique gave tirelessly of herself to write
several vignettes and to help put several 'Genealogy' web pages together
for Gen 2. Monique also helped with overseeing the food
organization for the N.Cal relatives, as well as giving lots
of great feedback on reunion organization and on the website.
Without Monique, this website would not be what it is today and the
reunion would not be where it is today.
A very special thank you to Monique!

| Brian and Maggie Kelly - Our host and
hostess for the Reunion and Chief
Logistics Organizers.
It was Brian and Maggie idea to open up their home to
the entire family to celebrate Bev Kempkey's (Maggie's mother) 75th
birthday. They personally invited all of us through emails and the
U.S. postal service. They will be making breakfast for anyone who
arrives early and they will be making dinner for all of us.
A
huge THANK YOU to Brian and Maggie for inviting all of us to their home
and making this the largest reunion we've ever had as a family.
And Happy 75th birthday, Bev! |
Rick
Colthurst - Master of Ceremonies
Rick was the first person to compile our family email
distribution list, and in doing so, he personally visited us. He
was also one of the first in our family to share photographs. He
attached the photos as JPEGs in email and sent it out to the family
distribution list that he built. As a result, we got to see Darby
growing up, his family, his home, and Tommy and Trina's wedding.
Rick helped name the website and was one of the first to review and give
a 'thumbs up' on the skeleton, which is pretty much what we see
today. He took his job as Master of Ceremonies very
seriously. He personally met with Bob to go over his ideas, and
had them fairly well laid out before his sudden death on August 11,
2001.
From all of us, Thank you Rick! |

| Suzanne Beall - Food and Cleanup
Suzanne has done a great job in checking all
alternatives to the food, getting servers, as well as creatively coming
up with ideas to save money as well as ideas to make it easy to serve
everyone without taking much of anyone's time at the reunion. She
did lots of running around, calling, checking prices, etc. and Monique
helped with the final planning as well as a nice balance of protein and
carbs. Suzanne also worked diligently to put her family's website
together, the Ross Jr. Family, as well as herself, Glory, Nancy, and the
Nielsens. She also did a wonderful job in putting her Dad and
Glory's information together for Game 14.
Thank you Suzanne!

Kathy Beall Frehner - Getting People to
know People
Kathy is doing a great job at organizing the Reunion
t-shirts, a job that is not as easy as it looks. Before she
could choose the colors for the clans, the descendants of each of the 8
kids, she needed the sizes, and then spent days trying to put it all
together for us. A true feat in and of itself. Kathy is also
in charge of Ice Breaker Games for everyone at the reunion.
This should be a lot of fun for all of us and help us personally get
everyone to know everyone at the reunion.
Thank you Kathy

Mary Chatigny Harding - Getting People
to know People
Mary has been helping Kathy with getting the Reunion
t-shirt sizes and had the job done in a week. Mary has also
been representing Jack's side of the family in getting current family
photos and BIOS information as well as information for the Reunion
Games. She's now starting on some fancy name tags for
everyone as well as some nametags for some special reunion
glasses that Bob Beall has designed. Mary will also be manning
the 'Welcome' table as people arrive at the reunion.
Thank you Mary!

| Michlene Colthurst Shane
Michlene has been instrumental in communicating with her
Father, Sterling Colthurst, on many matters. For instance, the
vignettes and some background family history prior to J.E.
Colthurst. This information as well as Margaret Colthurst Chatigny's
information will be released after the reunion. Michelene has also
helped in getting her families current family photos and bios, as well as
her parents and her sister. She has already offered to have her
husband Phil entertain on Friday night's bash, as well as the
reunion. She has worked with Brian on acoustics and equipment setup.
Thank you Michlene!

Cathy Carson Anderegg - Photographer and
Hard-Copy Photo Album
Cathy will be one of our roaming reunion photographers
as well as chair of the Hard-Copy Photo Album. This is the
reunion memento that received the most votes. The Photo Album will
contain current family photos that you are currently sending in as well as
your family's BIOS information.
Thank You Cathy!

Tom Colthurst
Tom, although quiet, helped with the first several
Reunion Games. He said that the first two games were too hard and
suggested several easier games, which were implemented. He also
browses the website and helps with corrections, adds links where needed
(even on Rick's Memorial), and has made other suggestions which were
implemented.
Thank you Tom!

| Tom Madigan - Bartender
Tom has been great with lots of ideas for the reunion,
as well as the rest of the team. Tom will be our bartender.
So, if you have drinks that you would like to share with others, bring
plenty and give it to Tom. He'll make sure the fun is flowing
throughout the day and evening.
Thank you Tom!
