Dick Nielsen:  'He started learning the bakery business when he was in High School.  He used to work at Tahoe City Bakery during the summers and after school during the winters.  Dick was a member of the Junior Olympic Team.  When the owners of the tahoe City Bakery, the Burey family, decided to retire, Dick and Carol purchased the Bakery from them.  That was in the 70's.  He ended up selling the Bakery in the early 80's, but continued working for the new owners.  When Lucky's came into town, they offered him the job at their Bakery Dept.  He worked there until after Albertson bought out Lucky's.  In 1999, he decided that he really didn't like working for Albertson and since he had started this other business with a friend, he retired from the Bakery business.  He loves the outdoors, so he went to San Francisco and took the test to become a captain.  He now does fishing charters, year round, out of Tahoe City.  The Boat is called 'Mack Attack'.  His friend owns the boat and Dick does the charters for him.  He still skies in the senior mens events- cross country-sometimes downhill.  He goes rock climbing with his son Charlie and likes to go fishing, camping, and hiking with his friends.'
