'I am married to Robert Beall and thought you may like this information on my ancestor,Samuel Huntington He was born on July 3, 1731 in Windhan Connecticut. He became an attorney at age 27. He was a signer of the Declaration of Independence. (He is the last row on the right) 1778 he signed Articles of Confederation. He was a Senator from Connecticut for more than 10 years (President of the Senate too). He returned to Connecticut to serve as associate justice of the Superior Court. In 1785 he became Lieutenant Governor of Connecticut. In 1786 he was elected Governor of Connecticut and served for 10 years. He died January 5, 1796 at the age of sixty four.He is my great, great, great grandfather's uncle on my maternal grandmother's side. My grandmother, Helen (Hollenbeck is her maiden name) Myers Anderson is very active and is still living by herself (and babysits for me occasionally) at the age of 91!! I guess we have some good genes. She lives two blocks away from Robert and me.I received a scholarship to college from DAR my senior year of high school.Just thought you might be interested in my ancestry.'
